Citizens Armory

Who we are;

We are a family owned company  based out of Mexico Missour Who have been in business for 20 years and Manufactured for 17 years. Tammy and Darin met as students at Mexico High School, and have been together since. Darin spent 3 years in the army, stationed at Schofield Barrocks in Hawaii. After a honorable discharge, the family moved back to Auxvasse, Mo, where they started the company.

  They have 2 children, SGT . Raleigh (D.J.)  who is current stationed at Fort Campbell, KY serving as a 91 Echo (Machinist and Welder) and a daughter, Katie, who is currently attending Mexico Jr. High. Both kids can be seen helping out from time to time around the shop.

How we started;

Shooting and firearms has been Darin's passion since a young age. He was a competitive shooter from the age of 7, and out shot his age group, as well as some of the older age groups.

The business sprung out of necessity to "feed the habit". He would purchase guns for his own collection, often time buying cheap or broken guns, trusting his ability to make them work. Word got around that he was able to fix guns for friends and family, and thus started to repair side of the business.

After taking apart and reassembling enough guns, Darin felt confident enough to try his hand at manufacturing. First working out of a smaller vault located in an empty building in Auxvasse, he would manufacture guns based upon request. As his client list, and expertise grew, so did the business. The shop was soon relocated from the small vault, to a custom made shop located at the families home.

By the summer 2012, the demand for the business was outstanding, and the couple decided to make this a full time gig. Tammy, who at that time was a LPN for the University, decided to handle the business side of the office, and can now be found handling the reins, while Darin continues to do what he loves.... making the product. THe shop is now located at 1110 Market Deive, Mexico, Mo and is open 6 days a week., We have 6 knowledgeable employees, Chris, Debra,Doug, Evonne, and George , if you have any questions we are here to help.
